Funny Sale Signs, anything sound familiar?

Insert sarcasm please ;)

This and other funny signs can be found at Huffington Post, and they weren't even talking about Measure C or anything! Wouldn't it be even funnier if they said something like buy a $350,000 home for only, oh, 1.7 billion dollars? Yes, I think that would be really a lot more funny, don't you?

All the blogs are talking about it. The CCTimes has recommended a No vote. People are writing letters to the editors. I happen to know that some people writing in were virtually no where to be seen during Measure D. I find that infuriating personally.

Oh, and another funny thing? The campaign manager for Measure C has a "favorite quotation" on his facebook page, "If you can't convince them, confuse them." Now that's really funny ! Ha Ha!

That's all.

  1. I couldn't agree more.

I am voting "no" for many reasons. The cost, the lack of planning, the district's refusal to be transparent, the lack of collaboration with stakeholders, and the lack of complete information.

The thought of asking this community to pay $1.87 billion over the next four decades when $1.5 billion of that is interest and will never reach our schools, is shocking.

Measure D would have cost $37million and all $37mil would have gone to our schools and better yet to our general fund to save programs.

Vote "no" and send our district leadership a message that says we expect better from you for our kids, our grand kids, and our community.

  2. We need to vote no. Then follow that up with a recall of Gary, Paul and Sherry. They are single handedly destroying our district.

  3. I don't believe that for a second regarding Gary, Paul and Sherry. They have a tough job, and I hope we can all agree to disagree without personal attacks. Our district has had enough name calling and finger pointing. Sometimes we have a different opinions on how to reach the same goal (in this case quality schools and education for our kids). This is the case with Measure C.

  4. Poor judgement on the part of the campaign manager .... but does seem to reflect the way in which the campaign has been run.

Does lack of information and transparency fall under the "confuse them" category?
